Weekly update

******* SORRY ITS A LONG ONE******

We know a lot of people are curious as to what it is we do on a day to day bases and because everyday is different for the BLF team we cannot just answer that in one go.

So we have decided to give you a weekly update!

This week we have spend a lot of time finalising our first finical audit report, you wouldn’t BELIEVE the amount of information needed to get the accounts finalised.

Myself and the staff have started seeing a councillor at least once a month, as you can imagine dealing with very poorly children on a daily bases it can be very hard, and takes its tole on your emotions. So i feel seeing a councillor is very beneficial to enable us to do our jobs the way we need to.

We continue to offer one to one support to our families that are fundraising, attending and holding events on behalf of the BLF children, and having meetings with businesses to gain support for individual causes.

Myself and Lynn went to London where I attended the woman of the year lunch during the day. Then on the evening, we met with Kaleigh Lau’s dad, Scott, and his team to discuss the DIPG research fund.
Whilst in the area it was lovely to have met up with the families of Alfie, Eden and Siobhans to discuss their next steps.

Back at the office the girls have been working hard on our #itsnicetobeniceshoe box appeal. It is so overwhelming to see all of the gifts you have purchased for people who need it most. With your help we will definitely put a smile on lots of peoples faces this Christmas.

As you can imagine this is just a small portion of our weekly activity’s, but we like to keep you all updated.

Thank you for continuing to support BLF xxx
