Cuddle blankets for grieving parents

A little while back, we were contacted by Michelle and Stephen Milton who sadly lost their beautiful 4-year-old daughter Ivy earlier this year. Ivy had Spina Bifida and tragically gained her angel wings after contracting sepsis following open heart surgery, with the loss coming as a huge shock to her entire family. The loss of your child is an unbearable pain words can not describe.

Even through this tragic loss, her family turned to fundraising to provide cuddle blankets for grieving parents, allowing them to spend more time with their child at home before their funeral.

Their fundraising has been an enormous success and they very kindly donated one of their blankets to the Bradley Lowery Foundation. Knowing exactly where this blanket needed to go, we handed over Ivy’s cuddle blanket to R G Bennett Funeral Service, the local family run funeral directors here in Blackhall who handled Bradley’s funeral. The care they provide is second to none and the blanket will provide that extra touch to families experiencing the worst time.
