Childhood Cancer Research

Research is extremely important!

The Bradley Lowery Foundation works with multiple research charities to ensure your donations are going to the best and most innovative research projects right here in the UK.

The Bradley Lowery Foundation feels that early Childhood Cancer Research is a vital part of the research process, although this type of research does not get as much publicity, without it, newer, safer treatments would never be found.

Working in collaboration with research charities we have given over £280,000 to fund vital research into Neuroblastoma and Ewing Sarcoma.

Neuroblastoma Research

  1. Understanding and improving the mechanisms of action of anti-GD2 monoclonal antibody therapy in Neuroblastoma.
  2. Nanobody based strategies to investigate and target the oncogenic transcription factor, N-Myc.

Ewing Sarcoma Research

This project investigates the use of liquid biopsy — the analysis of tumours using biomarkers circulating in fluids, such as the blood. The ability to detect and characterise tumours in such a minimally invasive and repeatable way could have considerable clinical implications for children with Ewing Sarcoma. It could enable the earlier detection of relapse, as well as the improved monitoring of tumour response during treatment.

All funds donated to The Bradley Lowery Foundation Research fund are held on a restricted basis, 100% of your donation goes directly to the researchers carrying out the research.
