Oakley was born nine weeks early alongside his twin, Mykey. Oakley was born half an hour after Mykey, causing Oakley to have some brain damage. Oakley was 18 months old when he was diagnosed as having Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. A couple of the symptoms are a painful tightness in his legs, and next to no strength in his core, so he was unable to walk or sit independently. Oakley’s family have been fundraising for a long time now and successfully raised £80,000 on their own to self-fund an SDR operation to reduce the spasticity in his muscles. Oakley’s family are now fundraising £58,000 to continue with Oakley’s physiotherapy to get the best results from his SDR operation.

In September it was Oakley’s first therapy session of this year, he has spent this year recovering from major feet surgery with only virtual physio due to Covid-19 and many cancelled therapy courses, on his first session back – safe to say he smashed it, so so proud of all the hard work he puts in, and always with a smile, super proud.
Please continue to support Oakley and his physio fund. If you would like to fundraise for Oakley, please email us at contact@bradleyloweryfoundation.com
