In 2019 we were contacted by Damain’s mam who was looking to fundraise £10,000 for an Autism support dog for her son Damain.
Damian is autistic and completely nonverbal. In addition to this Damian also had some learning difficulties. Due to his autism Damian has little to no sense of danger meaning his mammy often find her son in some scary and dangerous situations. Day by day life becomes more dangerous, as on a regular basis Damian escapes from the family home.
We are over the moon to say that Damian’s fundraising target was hit in early 2020 and he was soon matched with his Autism support dog. Now Damian and his dog Yogi are getting on amazing!
