In October 2018 Flynn was diagnosed with ADA-SCID which stands for Adenosine Deaminase Deficient – Severe Combined immunodeficiency. ADA-SCID is a genetic disorder and is caused by mistakes in a gene that makes up part of the immune system, in Flynn’s case the ADA part is one of the rarest kinds of SCID there is. 

When Flynn’s mammy contacted us at the foundation in 2019 her little boy was receiving a lot of his treatment down in Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, and the costs were simply getting too much for the family afford. We have supported Flynn’s family to raise £3000 to cover all travel expenses to and from London. 

This target was successfully raised and Flynn has now finished his treatment and is doing really well. Thank you so much to everyone who supported Flynn’s fundraising campaign.
