Lorraine’s Pectus Journey
In January 2023 we met Lorraine, a woman local to us who was suffering with a condition called Pectus Excavatum. This condition causes a person’s rips to cave into their chest.
Lorraine had the condition for a long time but it had slowly started to get worse and at the time of us meeting Lorraine, she was struggling with shortness of breath and the condition had even started to effect her working life too.
We have supported Lorraine to fundraise for a corrective operation which unfortunately is not provided on the NHS. We are over the moon to say Lorraine has now had the operation and it went extremely well!
