At the age of eight weeks Tiago suffered a traumatic hypoxia brain injury that change his life forever.  

Tiago has Cerebral Palsy. For Tiago this means that he can’t seat unsupported, he can’t walk, he is fed by a PEG because he can’t swallow. Tiago is visually impaired, he can see light but at this stage it’s difficult to understand how much he can really see.  

Tiago’s family came to the foundation in 2020 for support in raising £40,000 for stem cell treatment in Thai Land. We are over the moon to say this target was reached and Tiago has received one round of stem cell treatment.   

The results Tiago has had from this treatment have been truly incredible, it has quite literally had our team in tears of happiness for his family. Tiago is now able to show so much emotion, even smiling at his parents. As Tiago has had such an amazing result from the first round of treatment his family have decided to go ahead and fundraise another £40,000 for a second round.
