On Friday I was invited to attend the Woman of the Year lunch. This was amazing, being a room with so many incredible woman, it was such an honour.
Then on the evening, myself and Lynn, had a meeting with Scott Lau, and team Kaleigh, you will remember Kaleigh from our social media posts, sadly Kaleigh passed after a long battle with DIPG, but this doesn’t mean BLF support stops!!!!
Scott has had a Black Cab skin created and added onto to his good friends cab (Thank you so much Tony) to help raise awareness for DIPG & BLF.
We are supporting Kaleigh’s family, to continue Kaleigh’s legacy, by raising much needed awareness and funds for Research into DIPG.
Then Tuesday & Wednesday, we met up with Siobhan Mather, Eden Eyre and Alfie Ward’s family to see how treatments are going and what the next stages are. We love to meet the families we work with, and have a catch up, it’s important to us, to make time for all our of families no matter where they are in the country, BLF does not just help raise funds, we are also here for our families by offering emotional support too.
We have a few things in the pipeline so watch this space.
